Master Neil Kagan - Head Instructor

Neil’s diverse martial arts background started with the internal art of Hsing-I in 1981. He studied this and various other arts over the next few years including 6 years as a competitive kick-boxer.

In 1983, he started his San Soo training under Master Ted Sias (one of Grandmaster Woo’s top students) and in 1995 earned the title of Kung Fu San Soo Master (8th degree black belt).

In 1992, Neil continued the study of the other internal martial arts (T’ai Chi, BaQua) under San Soo and Internal Arts Master, Tim Cartmell, until his arrival in Florida in 1998.

Vinny started marital arts training in 1972 at the age of 13 with Judo under Judo Master Yoichiro Matsumura. He continued studying under Master Matsumura until 1977.

In 1978, Vinny began training in Kyokushin, an extremely hard style of Japanese karate, with respected teachers Sensei Oyama, Sensei Nakamura, and Sensei Ninomiya. In addition, from 1980 till 1984, Vinny was a full contact open tournament participant.

In 1980, Vinny began training in Wing Chun. He continued training in this Chinese Art until his introduction to the art of Kung Fu San Soo in 1999.

With a few years to go until Master level, Vinny is currently a senior student of San Soo Master Neil Kagan, and concentrates his efforts on teaching San Soo and passing on this great art to every one he can.
