(Chin Siu Dek) a.k.a Jimmy H. Woo

The 6th generation of Kung Fu San Soo consists of the students who studied under Jimmy H. Woo. One of these students was Ted Sias. Ted Sias received his Master's Degree under Jimmy H. Woo in 1981 and would later become Neil Kagan's teacher.

Neil started his martial arts training with the internal style of Hsing-I in 1981 while at college. His teachers were Steve Bigus and Bob Titus, two black belt students of John Price (who was the first to openly teach Hsing-I in America). Neil continued to study Hsing-I and other martial arts for the next year and a half. He also spent the next six years as a competitive kick-boxer.

In 1983, he met and became friends with Tim Cartmell while on the collegiate fencing team. Tim was the top student of Ted Sias. At Tim's invitation, Neil attended a San Soo demonstration and was introduced to Ted. Neil joined Ted's classes and ended up spending the next thirteen years studying under Master Sias.

Tim Cartmell later journeyed to China to study the internal martial arts. Upon his return Neil spent four years studying Ba Qua and the internal martial arts principals (including T'ai Chi, Yi Chaun, and other related systems) under Tim.

In 1995, Neil earned the title of Kung Fu San Soo Master (8th degree black belt) under Master Sias, thus becoming a member of the 7th generation of the Kung Fu San Soo lineage.
